SHEPHERD’S PIE
Preheat oven to 350F
1 lb Organic lean ground chicken or turkey
1 cup Peas
1 Tbsp Worstershire sauce
½ cup chick peas, drained
½ cup carrots, diced
1-2 lbs Sweet Potatoes
3 cloves minced garlic
4 Tbsp onion, chopped
Dash of cayenne pepper and any other spices you like
Cook sweet potatoes, drain and mash. Set aside.
Brown ground meat until no longer pink with garlic and onions. Stir in worstershire sauce and seasonings of choice. Line a colander with paper towel. Pour cooked meat into paper towel to help absorb any excess fat.
In covered glass dish, pour in peas, chickpeas and carrots. Stir in cooked meat.
Cover entirely with mashed sweet potatoes.
Bake for 45 minutes. Cool slightly and serve.
